Community Support??

Community Support? Try some honesty instead

Las Vegas is getting another chance to prove it really is ready to have a legal dungeon.

This will be the third attempt this year. In this case, maybe the third time will be a charm…

The Power Exchange (TPE) a San Francisco based sex and bondage club is opening their doors here in Sin City. The TPE has a chance because it has what the other two clubs did not… a pretty good record of honesty and the ability to work with their local communities. Not to mention experience in what they are doing.

If you remember that we started the year with Trans National Television and the Libertine.

Trans National Television had problems with a poor choice in managers and giving those managers too much power. They over promised and under delivered… if they delivered at all.

The Libertine has a little longer history in Las Vegas and that history has been plagued from the beginning with problems of not being honest. They have never been able to be straight or honest with the community as a whole or with its members.

Just look to the recent article in the Review Journal for details
http://www.lvrj.com/news/24905879.html

I love this line from the article:
“For example, county officials claim the Libertine was operating last year because they found an ad for a club at the same location in an October 2007 issue of the alternative weekly Las Vegas CityLife. But Hurt said he had nothing to do with that club, called IBC.”

Nothing to do with IBC??
The name IBC is still on the building, type in InternationalBondageClub.com and guess where that web address goes to??  You guessed it… the Libertine website.  Their own website claims this:
“Libertine (IBC) is located 2.8 miles from Las Vegas International Airport”
http://www.sincitylibertine.com/direction.html

Hmmmm…. Nothing to do with IBC??? Well, at least we have that one in writing….

Now on the flip side… They (Libertine/IBC/ whatever their name is…) have been generous to the community by opening their doors and offering to host parties. Which is wonderful and I have thanked them for that on this website as well as in person….

While that is all well and good, they continue to fill the message boards with tall tales of being licensed, legal and able to do business…. Offering further explanations in private, not public discussions. As if there is something to hide…. I am still hung up on this continuous barrage of lies and deceit.

I don’t get it…

When I first met the Owners about a day or two before their grand opening; I promised them my utmost support. Do whatever I can to help make them a success. They are what we needed… As long as they were upfront and honest with me and the community…  That promise lasted maybe 24 hours…

Now with TPE, I have had a few encounters with the original club in San Fran… They are who they say they are. They have the experience and the have the ability to back it up… So they have a better track record right out of the gate….

Plus I believe they were smart enough to build away from churches, schools, dance studios, and celebrities homes…

So we shall see….. My money and support is on TPE…

Sir Anthony

That is my opinion…. Deal With It!!
