Ok, you know it could happen to a lot of us…. So can we give them a brake and just wait the mess out?  It seems that the Erotic Heritage Museum had their email system hacked or compromised and it started to send out a flood of emails to the list while making the list public.

The problem is that people who are getting over whelmed by these emails are responding directly to the email list,  asking for it to stop. These responses are again sent out to the list, causing another mass wave of emails followed by more responses .

You know this can happen to anyone doing business on line and I do think we just need to hold our breath and let this ride itself  out. Most people have filters on their email systems that will allow you to control the email and send this to trash for a week or two. Once it calms down and people stop responding, open the filter back up and you will be good.

The one thing that I wished they would do is to handle this in a more personal way. Yes, the email suggesting their apologies is nice, but it read like a cold form letter and was signed as a group, not an individual we all can relate to or put a face to the organization.

You want the public to believe you are fixing the problem? Put a human face to it and have them explain what is being done, not do it as a cold form letter.

So please, this too shall pass….
