But Las Vegas is a strange animal when it comes to “communities” and getting people to give you the information and to get it to you before the event.
Plus the Vegas scene is always changing. So what may post today, will be totally different in six months. So Lord help us if we post a bad address or bad link!!
As Webmaster, I love this site and the people it attracts. I still have the desire to help people find their way around the Las Vegas BDSM scene. But I also need to have some compensation for the time it takes to keep it going and updated. Thus the addition of Affiliate Marketing. Links, photos and banners to movies, articles and other advertisers who want your business.
Some people are offended by the links and the fact that I may make a dollar or two from the website. This, they say, is a community site. For the benefit of all ( I kid you not) That it should remain pure and free. Damn Capitalist!! Others don’t mind exchanging a little web real estate with some promo for a sex toy or an occasional movie review.
Than we have the bare nuts and bolts of the typical website visitor. According to the visitor logs, half of you are here for the Kinky Vegas information. Half of you are here for the bondage porn. It is split almost evenly between the two themes. With a small, third group here for the stories and resources of being the Dom/Slave.
So What is a Webmaster to Do?
Some say to focus on one side. So what if it will be a small group of loyal visitors? Better to have small loyal group than a large fractured one. It will be better and attract a better group of viewers. The other side says to abandon all hope and just go pure porn. Get reviews of BDSM related movies and links to hot articles and stories of Master and Slave couples, etc…Tell us about great new toys to rock our worlds and show us how to do it all… In other words, Jack Off material
I have come to the conclusion to say fuck you all! I’m hitting both groups. Come here, get your fill of great BDSM porn while learning a little more of the Las Vegas BDSM scene that I can find and post. Mix in with some great stories and articles about the world of Masters and Slaves.
